I am 20. I love life and traveling and food. By chance perhaps, I live in England, where the weather and the food make you want to travel.

Before you ask me: it's all what it says on the package. This blog is going to document my journey of trying to fit into a specific pair of Hilfiger skinny jeans in 7 weeks. While quitting smoking, abstaining from Bloody Marys, learning Italian and writing my dissertation. You see, I'm not particularly vain. I don't have a one-track mind. To put it somehow, I have a three-(Olympic)-track mind with funky hurdles and 57 loose ends flying around my head. Who I am is not really important.

You can call me D.

I am 5'6" and 141lbs. It must have all happened in the past three weeks. Over Christmas, on holiday with the continental family. I don't regret, I don't forgive - it has to go.

Taking advantage of the fact that my boyfriend has just got a job abroad and I get to visit in exactly seven weeks, let the war begin. My first move is a 10-day fast (only Ortis Pure Plan Detox water, which is a gimmick I know - I just needed a tangible excuse) as I will be stuck inside all day with deadlines. Followed by recovery on a low-calorie boot camp diet (the ABC). Here are some figures:

Highest weight: 14lbs, 22.7 BMI (64 kg)
Lowest weight: 116lbs, 18.8 BMI (53 kg)
Starting weight: 141lbs, 22.7 BMI (64 kg - heaviest ever!)
7 week goal: 121bs, 19.5 BMI (55 kg - about average for 2009?)
3 months goal: 116bs, 18.8 BMI (53 kg)
Long term goal: 99bs, 16.0 BMI (45 kg)
Height: 5'6" (168 cm)

I need to lose 20lbs in 7 weeks. That's less than 3lbs/week, which sounds easy enough. I'm going to post daily updates about...everything. I will be needing your support and indiscriminate advice. Wish me luck!

Loads of love,
D xxx
